Mission Statement

The purpose of the Madison Senior Center is to enhance the well-being of the area senior citizens by providing and advertising educational, social, recreational, and assistance programs tailored to their specialized needs. This purpose will be facilitated:

1. By providing programs for entertainment and the practice of arts and crafts;

2. By providing counseling and referral to other agencies as required to address problems specific to senior citizens;

3. By providing classes and activities which will make individuals’ leisure time more fruitful and satisfying;

4. By providing supervised exercise, health screenings, and physical health related programs;

5. By cooperating with various social agencies in the promotion of the well being of senior citizens and by supporting community programs dedicated to this end;

6. By supporting legislation that is beneficial to the programming and purpose of the Madison Senior Center;

7. By doing or causing to be done, any other acts as may be required by or incidental to the fulfillment of the stated purpose.
